PinParse
PrototypeLegal brief analysis tooling focused on citations, propositions, and review workflows.
Problem
A legal brief makes checkable claims: that each cited authority exists, that it says what the brief asserts, and that each proposition can carry the weight placed on it. Verifying all of that is careful, repetitive, high-stakes reading — exactly the work that gets compressed when deadlines stack up, and exactly where AI-drafted text has raised the stakes with plausible-looking citations that don’t hold.
What it does
PinParse is tooling for brief analysis. It extracts citations and the propositions attached to them, then organizes both into a structured review workflow so a human reader can verify claims systematically instead of ad hoc. A working prototype exists and is used on real documents inside the lab.
Why it matters
Citation and proposition errors are embarrassing at best and consequential at worst. Tools that make verification faster and more systematic sit exactly where legal work most needs a human check — they don’t write the brief; they make the checking tractable.
Current status
Prototype — working software, not yet public. It is being exercised on real material to find where it breaks before anyone else is asked to rely on it.
